- Emergency and Trauma Department Hospital Miri provides emergency services to patients in the northern region of Sarawak. Operating 24 hours a day and the department handle various emergency cases. Generally, the scope of services provided includes Pre Hospital services and In-Hospital services

- 1. To provide, assess and treat acute medical emergencies that required prompt diagnostic, resuscitation and management efficiently
2. To adhere the excellent emergency medicine and trauma care by providing the best service
OBJECTIVES
i. To provide a prompt, accurate and definitive EMTS
ii. To provide an integrated and comprehensive care which is seamless and continuous from the pre-hospital care setting through to the hospital service
iii. To provide Total Quality Management (TQM) in all the critical management inter phases from pre-hospital care to the triage sorting out to various dedicated management zone according to the priority of the cases
iv. To provide an efficient and effective resuscitation and stabilization together with an accurate diagnostic service and critical life saving interventions
v. The management of the critical patient shall be conducted by an efficient team of skillful personnel which include specialist, medical officer, assistant medical officer, staff nurses and other health care personnel
