INTRODUCTION
Health Promotion & Patient Education Unit began operations in June 1996 under a Head Nurse. In June 2002 was conducted by the Health Education Officer. This unit is a unit of non-clinical support services. The role of this unit is to coordinate and implement activities for patient education and health promotion.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
- Plan and coordinate patient education classes for patients and staff.
- Staff training on Patient Education techniques.
- Coordinate talks / seminars on diabetes, high blood pressure and asthma.
- Develop health education materials that are needed in Patient Education Classes.
- Provide AVA equipment required in the Patient Education Classes.
