INTRODUCTION<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Central Sterile Services Unit comprises of a receiving and washing area, instruments packing area, sterile store and linen storage and packing area. A male and female changing room and a nursing sister\u2019s office are also included inside the unit.<\/p>\n

SCOPES OF SERVICES<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Collection of soiled instruments from the Operating Theatre, wards and units.<\/li>\n
  2. Decontamination and cleaning of soiled instruments.<\/li>\n
  3. Packaging and sterilization of instruments, sets, soft dressings and linen packs.<\/li>\n
  4. Dispatching of sterile instruments and sets to wards and units in Hospital Sarikei.<\/li>\n
  5. Providing sterilization services of instruments sets and packs to other government health \u2013 care facilities.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
