The nursing administration and\nnurse managers are considered the \u201cgatekeepers\u201d of the hospital because nurses\nare the closest to the patients. Nurses work as a team and are responsible to\nensure that health quality standards are adhered to in order to minimize risk\nand provide safe care to all patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Objectives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To provide caring and holistic nursing care to meet\nthe clients\u2019 needs according to nursing standards as determined by the Nursing\nBoard of Malaysia.<\/li><li>To\npromote team spirit and interdisciplinary collaboration through effective\ncommunication.<\/li><li>To\nprovide evidence based practice through research.<\/li><li>Maintaining\nand upholding the professional image of nursing<\/li><li>To promote community participant through collaboration\nand empowerment<\/li><li>To ensure the compliance of Code of Professional\nConduct for Nurses Registered with the Nursing Board Malaysia<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Scope of\nServices<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Manage the human resource for Nursing and Auxiliary staff\nwith regards to their orientation, training, professional registration and\ndeployment. <ul><li>Promoting professional development and continuing education\nfor all nurses and auxiliary staff. <\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Providing and delivering good quality nursing care with high\nstandard of nursing practice and professional conduct. <\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Providing basic nursing practical training facilities to\nnursing students when required.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Representing the nurses\u2019 views and opinions in various\nissues pertaining to their service and welfare in the various committees of the\nHospital. <\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Supervise the &nbsp;&nbsp; overall\nadministration and management of nursing accommodation and hostel of the\nHospital.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Monitor and ensure the delivery of high quality linen and\nlaundry services provided by the concession holder. <\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Monitor and ensure the delivery of high quality cleansing\nservices provided by the concession holder. <\/li><\/ul><ul><li>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ensure\ntimely and adequate supply of sterile products and consumables for delivery of\npatient care activities <\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Ensure compliance to disinfection and sterilization policy\nand procedures of Central Sterile Supply Services.&nbsp; <\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Ensure the provision and delivery of high standard of\nnursing services to the community both for in-patients and out-patients. <\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Coordinate and assist the\nHospital Infection Control Unit to ensure compliance to the policies and\nprocedures in the prevention and control of hospital acquired infection.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n ","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nursing Department Introduction The Department of Nursing is responsible for the management, supervision and provision of nursing services in the hospital.
