It\nis part of the Ministry of Health (MOH) Clinical Research Centre (CRC) Network\nset up under the National Institute of Health CRC. The CRC network was set up\nin line with the vision of the Ministry of Health to make research one of the essential\nactivities at MOH. It is an independent department of Hospital Sibu.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CRC HS serves as a local coordination centre for research\nactivities, clinical registry and training related to research. It is located\nat the front portion of Ward 31, at Level 3 of the main building of Hospital Sibu.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Objectives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To\ncoordinate the registration of research proposal to be conducted in the\nhospital, or by hospital staff via online National Medical Research Registry\n(NMRR)<ul><li>To review\nresearch proposals to be conducted at Hospital Sibu, either by own hospital\nstaff or investigators from other institutions or advise investigators for\nresearch require MOH Medical Research Ethical Committee (MREC) review and\napproval<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>To coordinate clinical trials and ensure\ninvestigators have necessary ethical approval and are compliance with good\nclinical practice (GCP) and relevant standards required by Joint Commission\nInternational<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>To assist hospital staff in the conduct of\nresearch<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>To manage and monitor clinical registries based\nat Hospital Sibu<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>To collaborate with CRC MOH and the MOH network\nof CRC<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>To conduct training in relation to research<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Scope of\nServices<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Research governance &amp;\ncoordinator for both investigator-initiated researches and industrial-sponsored\nresearches<ul><li>Promotion of industry-sponsored\nresearch in line with government policy<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Research\nservices: research consultation, technical and methodological expertise<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Training\nactivities: Introduction to Clinical Research, Good Clinical Practice Workshop,\nResearch Methodology and Basic \/ Intermediate Biostatistics Workshop,\nEvidence-based Medicine Workshop, Questionnaire Validation Workshop<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>-Organises Sibu\nHospital Research Day to promote and share research findings among hospital\nstaff, and co-organise Sarawak State Research Day by rotation<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n ","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Clinical Research Centre Introduction The Clinical Research Centre, Hospital Sibu (CRC, HS) was established on 1 January 2011.
