INTRODUCTION
Information Technology Unit was established in April 2003. This unit is responsible in performing a variety of functions including to plan, manage and monitor the implementation of ICT projects conducted at the Miri Hospital. In addition, the unit’s role is to plan, manage and monitor the use, maintenance and security of the network equipment and systems so that applications can be utilized optimally and do not interfere with daily operations.
The unit is headed by an Information Technology Officer F12, assisted by three Information Technology Officers, three Assistant IT Officers and three Computer Technician.
OBJECTIVE
Provide IT services to the Miri Hospital towards achieving the status of a government agency based on IT to help implement and realize the mission and vision.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
- Plan and implement ICT activities including departmental ICT technical assistance and advisory services.
- Monitoring of network infrastructure and ICT equipment at the Miri Hospital.
- Planning and implementing ICT courses.
